Crema di Carciofi (artichoke pesto) is an organic speciality from Tuscany. Finely chopped artichokes with olive oil, wine vinegar, grape juice, sea salt and garlic give this pesto a Mediterranean, aromatic taste. This wonderful pesto is made on the farm of Mediterranea Belfiore, a family business around Simonetta, Emiliana & Antonella Ciarlo. Belfiore has stood for the highest quality vegetables and tomato specialities from Italy since 1952.

This pesto can be used in many ways. It is suitable as a pesto with pasta (see below for recipe) as well as an excellent dip or spread on bread (e.g. lightly toast baguette slices on the grill and then spread a thin layer of the pesto on top).
